Staff List
With a small but very dedicated staff, the
Nutrition Consortium of NYS works to fight hunger throughout the state. Here is
a list of the entire staff (in alphabetical order by name), their titles and a
brief review of their background and responsibilities.
Linda P. Bopp
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Linda is responsible
to the Board of Directors for the future direction and for the maturation and
growth of the Nutrition Consortium, including staffing, negotiating and
implementing all contract responsibilities, public policy development and
fundraising.
Linda came
to the agency from the Rensselaerville Institute, a Capital Region-based think
tank that helps organizations to develop outcomes approaches and tools. Ms.
Bopp trained and consulted with a wide-range of human service organizations,
applying an investment and results focus to program development, design,
delivery, management, and evaluation. Prior to that she held various program
management, policy, and legislative analysis positions in NYS Government.
Linda has a BA in English from Siena
College, and she took additional graduate courses at RPI, SUNY at Albany and
Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Linda became Executive Director of the
Consortium in 2006.

Elizabeth
Chiera
Fiscal Assistant
As assistant in the fiscal office Liz
assists in the review of NOEP subcontractor vouchers for completeness and
accuracy. Liz has been with the Consortium since October 2004.
Liz has many years of experience as a senior
account clerk with the NYS Department of Taxation.

Gail A. Cooney
Fiscal Associate
As assistant to the Fiscal Director, Gail
reviews NOEP subcontractor vouchers for completeness and accuracy and works on
Consortium payroll and grant records. Gail has been with the Consortium since
May 2003.
Gail came to us with more than 13 years of
fiscal administrative experience, including account reconciliation and
interactions with the public.

Mark T. Denley
Fiscal Director
As Fiscal Director, Mark is responsible for
overall operation of the fiscal transactions of the organization, including all
accounting, bookkeeping, budgets, fiscal reports. He has been with the
Consortium since February 2003.
Mark holds a BS degree from RPI in
Management, with a concentration in Finance and has six years of non-profit
fiscal and business management.

Casey Dinkin
Child Nutrition Outreach Coordinator
Casey works
to increase access to child nutrition programs in NYS through outreach, policy
work, and advocacy.
Casey has a
B.A. in Communication from SUNY Geneseo, with minors in Musical Theater and the
College Honors Program. She joined the Consortium staff in September 2004.

Carrie Jackson
Sr. Accountant
Carrie assists the Fiscal Director on NOEP
fiscal administration, including budgets and vouchers, and has responsibility
for NOEP accounts and fiscal reports. Carrie has been with the Consortium since
February 2004.
Carrie brings ten years of non-profit
accounting experience to her new position, along with another ten years of
experience in the corporate world, working at Morgan Stanley. She holds a B.S.
in Business Administration/ Specialization Finance from Mercy College.

E. Yvette James
Director, Outreach & Education
Yvette is the lead person responsible for
coordinating the agency’s NOEP field work, including communications with all 46
NOEP subcontractors and coordinating NOEP training and the statewide NOEP
conferences we hold each year. Yvette supervises the other NOEP Program
Facilitators and provides technical assistance and support to the NOEP staff
and agencies. She has been with the Consortium since 1997.
Yvette has an extensive background in
advocacy and negotiations, having worked for the City of Albany for 9+ years on
federal labor standards, Fair Housing and affirmative action issues. She has
worked for various not-for-profit agencies in the areas of community organizing
and client advocacy, and has a B.A. in Sociology, with aminor in Community
Organization.

Misha R. Marvel, M.S.W.
Program Analyst
Misha is the lead contact on senior
nutrition program issues and provides this support to our Nutrition Outreach
and Education Program subcontractors. She is also responsible for the agency’s
sponsorship of the Senior Nutrition Assistance Program Workgroup. Currently
working part-time, she has been with the Consortium since January 2003.
Misha came to us with two years of experience as a policy analyst and advocate
with an anti-poverty/anti-hunger organization, and a strong commitment
to social justice issues and holds a BA and an MSW.

David R. Reynolds
NOEP Program Facilitator
David is a full time field representative for many of the Nutrition Outreach
and Education Program subcontractors. He has been with the Consortium since
February 2006.
David came to the Consortium with a B.A. in Philosophy. His immediate work
history includes three years as a case manager technician for a community based
human services organization and his prior experience with non-profits included
project planning and development.
