Hunger Data Book 2002

Welcome to our online version of Hunger in New York State — A Data Book: County Profiles of Poverty, Hunger and Nutrition Program Utilization Statistics.

Section 1 of this data book contains state and county profiles that provide you with data on various indicators of need - such as food insecurity data and unemployment rates, as well as nutrition program participation statistics.

Section 2 contains similar-county comparison graphs.

Section 3 contains statewide data spreadsheets.

Descriptions of the federal nutrition programs are also provided in the introduction, along with statistical sources and definitions of the indicators of need data. Many individuals and agencies made this data book possible, so please take a moment to look at the acknowledgements, too.

Return to this "Hunger Data Book Home Page" to locate individual profiles.
